For our client in Gijzegem, we are looking for a motivated Maintenance Technician m/f/x to work in a 2-shift system (6:00 AM - 2:00 PM and 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM). Are you technically skilled, eager to learn, and ready to roll up your sleeves? Then you might be the colleague we are looking for!

As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal operation of our machinery and production equipment. You will carry out both preventive and corrective maintenance on injection molding machines, peripheral equipment, and testing systems.

In addition, you will contribute to technical improvements and small-scale projects aimed at increasing the reliability and efficiency of our installations. A positive attitude and willingness to continuously develop your skills are just as important as your technical knowledge. Experience with PLC systems is a plus, and further training will be provided internally.

Your Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on injection molding machines, peripheral equipment, and testing systems.
• Quickly and efficiently diagnose and resolve faults in electrical, electronic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
• Independently execute small technical improvement projects.
• Participate actively in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance machine performance and reliability.
• Help maintain a safe working environment and comply with environmental regulations.
• Contribute to housekeeping and cleanliness standards within the workshop and production areas.

This international company specializes in the manufacturing and supply of plastic components for the automotive industry, producing high-quality injection-molded parts for vehicles.

• You have a technical education (A2 level, Associate Degree, or Bachelor's degree in Electromechanics, Electricity, Automation, or equivalent through experience).
• Knowledge of injection molding machines is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of PLC controls is a plus; additional training can be provided internally.
• You have experience maintaining and repairing industrial machinery and equipment.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment and with preventive maintenance is a strong asset.
• You have a good command of Dutch.
• You can understand technical manuals and documentation in English and/or German.
• You have strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• You can efficiently solve electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues.
• You take a proactive approach and contribute ideas to prevent future breakdowns.
• You are able to work independently on maintenance and repair activities.
• You are service-minded and enjoy collaborating with colleagues across different departments.
• You communicate clearly about technical issues and solutions.
• You work closely with production teams to minimize downtime.
