This position is within the new Therapeutic Interventional Oncology Organisation (TIO) of Terumo. This organization is comprised of Medical Strategy, Research & Development, Software Development, Medical Imaging Discovery, and Operations (incl Supply Chain). Job Summary
The 4 key deliverables in this role are:
- Establishing a global supply policy for all TIO products, taking into consideration multiple production locations and a global network of hot- and cold labs that provide solutions for patients worldwide.
- Ensuring the availability of TIO products to meet market demands and patients needs.
- Havening the strategic insight to Propose, plan and implement any required process improvements
- Coaching, leading and managing your team and other operations resources in your scope
Job Responsibilities
You establish a global supply policy for all TIO products. This includes:
Developing a reliable supply planning in collaboration with all relevant Terumo entities
Ensuring supply from all sister companies involved in manufacturing TIO products
Working closely with procurement department in Terumo to ensure a safe, reliable and cost-efficient supply of materials from third parties
Coordinating global supply with other Terumo entities and third parties (sister companies, distributors, and TC)
You ensure the availability of products manufactured by TIO to meet the market demands:
Critically reviewing the demand planning in collaboration with the local Terumo entities distributing TIO products
Assessing demand and develop long term planning to meet market demand
Defining production planning to ensure a safe, efficient, and cost-effective supply
You propose, plan and implement any required improvements. This means:
Based on the Long Range Plan, asseing the needs for investments in operations equipment and facilities
Develop and propose investments plan to ensure business continuity, build cost effectiveness
Ensures an optimal organization of the team that is fit to purposeAssesses and implements any relevant process improvement to ensure quality, safety and efficiency in operations Ensures a reliable transfer of technology from R&D and/or acquisition to in-house manufacturing as relevant.
You manage all operations resources in your scope. This includes:
Managing and coaching the TIO manufacturing, planning and supply chain teams.
Overseeing all manufacturing and supply activities specific to TIO
Managing the TIO-specific manufacturing activities, including polymer manufacturing, Quality Control, hot lab (radioactive) activities
Ensuring accurate planning and ordering management

Profiel kandidaat
You have a master’s degree plus significant experience in the domain of medical industry operations and/or supply management.
You can look back at least 10 years of industry working experience in a similar function.
Furthermore, your experience includes supply management of time sensitive products (ideally radioactive or biological products)
You have experience in production management or operation planning in the biotech, pharma or medical device industry
You have worked with outsourced processes and managed third party partners
You feel comfortable in a multicultural and international environment and proven ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders from different backgrounds
SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:
Strong problem-solving skills, Analytic mindset., Strong management skills, Proven negotiation skills
Team player and willing to work collaboratively across the organization and with others to reach results/resolution in a matrix environment.
Strong personal integrity.
Fluent in English.
